I am a Fine Art graduate from the University of Hertfordshire who has always been interested in places and the natural environment. I am intrigued by the unseen – the things that remain unnoticed most of the time. My work explores light, shadow, touch, residue, trace and atmosphere through the mediums of screen-printing, painting, drawing and photography.
When creating works, I rarely have a pre-conceived idea and try to remain responsive to the materials by allowing the process to evolve in a spontaneous and intuitive way. This leads me to be frequently surprised by the changing direction of my work as the images emerge.
Whilst my work doesn’t attempt to recreate memories or places, my life experiences naturally inspire my work.
